The new single from Austin-based rock band Rival Waves is out on digital outlets today.
“HWY 100” is a sun-kissed summer anthem made for jumping in a car, driving really fast, and getting lost somewhere beautiful.
The lyrics recall some of the best moments of Rival Waves singer/songwriter Joel De La Garza’s youth:
“I grew up in the Rio Grande Valley of South Texas. Hwy 100 is the stretch of road that connects my home town to our local oasis of South Padre Island, TX. This is my love song to that stretch of road, that paradise, my friends, & my unique feeling of summer.”
