The Austin, Texas alternative rock band has been building steadily since the release of their debut LP, A Meaningless Chaos, and the milestone reflects growth across their full body of work, including recent standout singles “Time’s Up,” “SLANT,” and “New Fear.”

The million-stream mark spans Rival Waves’ full release history, from their debut EP, TRANSDUCER, to their most recent string of singles released on Lunar Drive Records.
A Meaningless Chaos, the 11-track debut LP recorded at The Bubble Studios with Grammy-nominated producer Chris “Frenchie” Smith, with nearly 500,000 streams alone, has attracted listeners in the US, UK, Australia, and South America.

What’s Next for Rival Waves
The band has confirmed that new music is indeed in development following the milestone. With an EP coming in early/mid 2026, followed by a full-length sophomore effort arriving later in the year.
